I think a lot of people would like to do this, but it appears that it's so complex and involved that even car manufacturers shy away from doing this with their car audio systems, in favor of separate amp channels and digitizing the signal, even with the added incentive of building the system for thousands of cars, doing the design phase only once to fit the space. LspCAD LspCAD 6 is a software intended for the design of loudspeaker boxes and crossovers. I'd like to be able to use a single great high-end amplifier and build a superb passive crossover that can correct phase or add time delay, so that most of the stuff that costs extra like amp channels and DSP processor inclusion, could be substituted for a custom passive that just simply works in the cabin space, using 3-way design and/or 2-way plus sub. Microsoft Office LTSC 2021 Professional Plus Build 2.20375. Is the time delay characteristics of passive networks that are suitable for use in a home audio system using a flat baffle and give or take, 2.5 inches of forward/back, able to be useful in designing for automotive off-center correction?Īnd if not off-center, then dash/kicks, or sail/door implementation?
